Oberwerth - Brand Ambassador
For the past two weeks, I’ve been up in the New England area traveling with my family and doing my best to stay off the grid and offline. I needed some time away to clear my head in an attempt to come home afterwards and refocus on new marketing strategies for Twisted Oaks Studio. With almost every wedding for 2020 being canceled or rescheduled (almost 100 weddings), we’ve had no choice but to offer new services and new products.
My personal focus has been on new marketing strategies as well as keeping up good relations with the companies that I’ve built relationships with over the years. These companies have not only helped with my personal and professional successes over the years but have also helped make this pandemic a little easier on us. With that being said, I couldn’t be more honored and happy to announce that I’ve signed on with German-based bag company, Oberwerth. Most importantly, and since I already have way too many leather camera bags, they also makes some of the best leather half-cases I’ve ever used.
Over the past several years as I’ve built a career around photography, I’ve set out to work with some of the best companies that I’ve gotten to not only work with but know on a personal level. I have built some amazing relationships which have played a big role in my successful career as a photographer, especially Leica, B&H Photo, Pixifi, Fundy, Vision Art Albums, and now Oberwerth. These companies are what I consider to be the best in the industry and most importantly have some of the best people running them.
I’ve been shooting with Leica cameras for over 5 years now, starting with the M9 and eventually leading to the M10P, SL2, and Q2 being my main camera bodies for everything that I shoot. One of the products that I’ve grown to love while shooting Leica cameras are the popular leather half-cases and camera bags that are specifically made with the same minimalistic approach in mind as Leica.
Oberwerth, is a company that I’ve gotten to know and have a ton of respect for, with the owners and their products. Not only are their bags made specifically for Leica photographers, but their new line of half-cases are what truly sold me on them. I’ve used a number of half-cases from different companies over the years and once I tried the Oberwerth versions I had to learn more about them. Along with a lifetime warranty on all their products, the craftsmanship and design philosophy is second to none. Their products are made with some of the highest quality material you can imagine, putting their competitors to shame. I’ve personally used more than most photographers to be able to make that statement.
