Film Scans - PA Mountains
During a recent trip up to the mountains of PA to test a few Sigma lenses on my Leica SL2 bodies (VIDEO) I took the opportunity to bring along one of my favorite film bodies, the Mamiya RZ67. The RZ was my first MF film body that I picked up about 7 years ago and it’s the only one that I’ve managed to hold onto after owning the Pentax645, Mamiya645, and Contax645. Mostly because of how much I loved shooting polaroids on it. Now that a box of FP100C costs anywhere from $65-$100 (due to no longer being in production) I wanted to take it out and shoot a handful of 120 film through it for the third time since I bought it.
My cinematographer buddy Matt brought along his Nikon F4 and we shot both setups throughout the trip. I used to shoot the majority of my personal work on film and COVID pushed me to start getting back to that. After getting the scans back, I couldn’t be happier that I did. I wanted to get some new shots over to Oberwerth and you’ll see that we ended up using the film bodies for the majority of those as well.
